     Our journey as technology provider started fifteen years ago with the Nereda® technology, which is now used in more than 120 projects in over 20 countries across all continents. With the growth of our technology portfolio, we are now looking for a medior sales engineer to join the Bioresources team that focuses on sludge digestion technologies, such Ephyra® and Helea®.

What you do as a Sales Engineer BioResources?

     As a medior sales engineer, you will support the sales director in business development and sales of technical solutions for clients in the water sector, both in the Netherlands and abroad. More specifically, the sales engineer will support the sales director with the preparation of quotations to clients for Royal HaskoningDHV’s proprietary technologies in the field of Bioresources, such as Helea® and Ephyra®. You are expected to generally assist the sales director throughout the sales process, including preparing, supporting, and attending client visits, site visits, etc. both domestically and abroad.

More specifically, responsibilities include the following:  

  • support the sales director in identifying sales opportunities in selected markets
  • identify client structure and project programme for selected sales opportunities
  • support the sales director in the development of technical solutions for these clients and the preparation of quotations for those solutions
  • in general, build and maintain a network of clients and other stakeholders
  • support the development of account-based marketing information to further promote our technology products and software

      You will join the Bioresources team of the Business Unit Water Technology Products (WTP) within the Business Line Water & Maritime.

     We are a very international oriented business unit, with colleagues of more than 15 nationalities working in different countries around the world. This position will be based in the Netherlands.

What you bring

  • bachelor or master’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental or chemical engineering or other related studies
  • minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment either with a consultant, a contractor, equipment supplier or technology provider in the water industry
  • core technical skills associated with water and wastewater treatment plant design
  • experience in a project organisation with good administration skills
  • experience outside of the Netherlands will be a plus
  • ability to work in a (global) team with the ability to easily communicate
  • pro-active attitude, client-focused, and good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • fluent in spoken and written English is a must, other foreign language are a plus
